Ironically the best DJ booth to play in the world doesn’t exist except for 7 days of the year somewhere in the Black Rock Desered in the South of Nevada. And the funny thing is that it isn’t just one DJ booth, there are like 30 amazing DJ booths with packed dancefloors for 7 days straight!
This paradise is known as Burning Man and its one of the craziest parties in the world. 50,000 people drive, walk and even skydive into the middle of one of the dryest deserts in the world to camp for 7 days over September long week. Its a music, art and expression festival where anything and EVERYthing goes.
And the best part is that its such an amazing party, with 50,000 partiers all going off together that some of the world’s top DJs come to Burning Man to play for free. Thats right Free. Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Bassnectar, Tiesto and other top names have all made appearances at Burning Man just to be a party of the energy.

During the day you…
…wander around and ride hot air balloons, get massages, windsurf across the desert, ride around on cars and busses decked out with lights, take a yoga or meditation class, shoot fire or whatever else you want to do for Free. There is no money in this camp. Its a money-less society. Everyone brings things and gifts them to everyone. This creates an incredible vibe of giving and loving that translates into the nightlife.
At night you can hop on the ‘art cars’ to get around the camp to the different parties. At any given time there will be 20 – 30 amazing parties going off with DJs. You can find any kind of music you want and a lot of your favorite DJs will be there.
The energy at burning man was the best part for me. Everyone expresses themselves for who they really are. Dentists become party animals. Lawyers become spiritual. Everyone is happy and loving.
The only thing better than the energy was DJing at these parties because when you’re DJing you actually control the energy of the room. It was nuts. Seeing hundreds and even thousands of people dressed up in the wildest costumes (and some totally naked). It was so amazing to look out over the crowd and spot a Barney costume, dancing beside a pirate, dancing beside a hot girl wearing nothing and the list goes on. As far as the eye can see its people having a great time.
To be honest with you most people there are pretty hopped up on drugs. I don’t do drugs so I just had a few drinks and went to be whenever the sun came up. But the drug-fueld dancefloors were amazing to DJ to. People were going OFF and they best part is that it isn’t about the DJ god either. People are dancing hanging out together partying, not all standing gawking at the DJ like you find at most Western nightclubs.
So if you get a chance, make sure you go to Burning Man at least once in your life. It will change the way you look at things forever in the best way! Bring your tracks and your dj headphones and I’m sure you’ll score a few DJ gigs. They just let DJs walk on at a lot of the stages. Theres DJ booths everywhere. In people’s camps, on cars, on busses dressed up as pirate ships, chickens and space ships and even in a hot air balloon. Its awesome.
Ministy Of Sound? Pacha? Privilege? Space? I’d choose DJing at burning man over any of those old super clubs any day!

“I don’t do drugs” sure ya don’t . Then what excuse do you have for the lack of proof reading on this article ? at times it’s hard to follow exactly what your point is and there’s a few glaring typos (ie:”People were going OFF and they best part” ). Did you at least read out loud to yourself what you where trying to say in it ? Just admit it, you where whacked out of your brain the entire time at burning man and when you got home and wrote this article you realized that you had a few bumps of k and molly left and decided to do those and then write it . But when it came time to mention the drugs part you got really paranoid and decided to cleverly insert a disclaimer that you don’t do drugs yourself . hahahaha , can’t fool us though ! PEACE !
