The first time I saw these guys was in my home city of Vancouver. I got to hang with them (Walter and Arno) after their set and I was all over them like a fat kid on a smartie.

Booka Shade have been changing what it means to be “DJs” for a while now. If fact they’re way more live performers than DJs playing on studio gear more than dj equipment.
But lessons from them can still be learned such as Stay Creative! Follow your own beat and it may take you to a stage in front of 100,000people at the Love Parade in Berlin!
So if the DJIng robots aren’t the future of DJing are live “DJ Bands” like Booka Shade the future?

Performing live like this is the future of Djing.
With the power behind Ableton Live and other softwares this
has become so much easier to do. These Dj’s/ Producers can now get into the clubs and remix their tunes on the fly.
It is so much easier to move around their studio equipment nowadays.
Dj’s are a dying breed. Too many of them!! This kind of performance is the future. Being able to utilise and interlink between Djing and producing all at the same time..
Can’t wait for the future!!
