So you’re starting out as a new DJ and you’re confused and disoriented. All you want to do is DJ for your friend or for big crowds at nightclubs or raves… You go online and EVERYONE has differing options on how to be a DJ.
Some disc jockeys say “teach yourself” how to DJ! Others say “take lessons in your city”. I say “sign up for my DJ training videos newsletter by clicking HERE“..
I just stumbled across this series of posts on DJTechTools.com. They walk you through how to get started as a beginner DJ from square one. I like their DJ advice because it is well written:
How To Be a Successful DJ Part 1 – DJTechTools.com

I especially love the distinction they make about where you want to get to as a DJ. Do you want to be a superstar dj playing the top nighclubs in Ibiza and London like Space, Ministry Of Sound and Pacha? Do you want to just do it for fun as a hobby so you can dj mix for your freinds? Do you want to DJ as a job to make money?
There are a lot of great points to think about in these two DJ blog posts!

It sounds so easy to learn.
Its not easy to learn to DJ but it isn’t as hard as those old time DJs make it sound…
“It took me 8 years to learn to beatmatch” lol…
Yeah, I think these days it’s a lot easier to learn how to DJ with all the tech we have. and to the older DJs we arent real Djs but we’re are taking advantage to whats availible to us and our generation with completely change DJing as the public sees it
