It is sooo cool to watch that big of a dancefloor freak out when Deadmau5 drops his track “Ghosts and Stuff” after the intro. The feeling that you get when you drop a track and people freak out is unreal! The vibe is electric and the feeling is addictive. It is a very rare thing in this world to get so much from something that actually makes other people feel just as good if not better.
Its dj videos like these that make me really thankful that I took the step to DJ many years ago. I still remember BEGGING my mom to lend me the money to buy DJ gear and dj lessons… To think that even a guy like Deadmau5 started off as just a kid in his bedroom just like you and I is awesome.
I hope this inspires you as much as it inspires me. Deadmau5 is obviously having fun with his intro act, he is being paid ridiculous amounts of thousands of dollars and the dancefloor is obviously LOVING it as well! I hope that one day you get to experience this feeling that both Deadmau5 and I have felt!
DJ Magic Wong gives you an intro to DJing. He walks you through the dj equipment, the dj mixer, the turntables, Serato dj software and he then explains beatmatching, phrasing and shows you how to do some basic dj mixing.
It doesn’t matter if you want to dj trance, house, dnb, breaks, hip hop, electro, raggea, hardcore, techno or any other kind of music… this is a great intro.
So many people want to be DJs but very few even know what a DJ does. I hope this dj tutorial helps you out!
Well Laidback Luke walks you into his studio which is nothing more than a room in his family house with a small computer screen, a small keyboard and a Microphone. You get to see one of Luke’s unreleased tracks! Joachim Garraud, another superstar French DJ is behind the camera.
He plays off of his laptop so he doesn’t need DJ equipment at home. He doesn’t even use his speakers because he doesn’t want to wake his kids up at night. Luke one best DJ / Producer in 2008 and this is where he did it from!
So you don’t need a super fancy expensive setup. You don’t need every piece of DJ gear around. You don’t even need speakers to be the best DJ in the world…
When watching this video that I was sent by a new DJ names Katia that signed up for our video DJ Lessons newsletter… I couldn’t help but laugh because someone went to the trouble of designing a robot that could DJ and dance (its better at dancing lol) but the robots, despite being so technically advanced are playing on DJ turntables (technics 1200s). Whats up with that?… He should be rocking out on Ableton Live!
Seriously though this video raises the question. Is this the future of DJing? Will we ever see these types of DJ robots in the nighclubs and at raves? What do you think?
Having great looking business cards just screams out a DJs professionalism to his or her clients, competitors and most importantly, the club owners and promoters. Business cards are one of the best self-promotion techniques used to get your name out there and sell yourself, and the majority of DJ’s forget all about them!
Above all, DJs like you and I don’t have to spend money on professional designers, printers and fancy paper to produce great results that score DJ gigs!
