I remember it like it was yesterday…
My mom and sat me down at the dinner table and said “Sean…Why do you want to learn how to DJ? You’re wasting your time… You should be focused on school and your job”. At the same time, my friends used to make fun of me for dj mixing techno music because hip hop was cool at my school.
I didn’t listen to any of them…
I went out and spent my hard earned money on DJ Lessons (I couldn’t afford many), I bought DJ DVDs, I read disc jockey message forums, I looked up DJ tutorials online and I even followed DJs around to watch them playing in nightclubs…

I didn’t give up because I had a dream… this video 100% sums up that DJing dream. And now it is my reality…

Why do you want to know how to DJ?
These are things you need to keep in your mind as you continue forward towards your DJ career.
If you don’t keep the end goal in mind… you’re DJing dream… then you will let things like your parents telling you not to buy dj equipment and become a DJ or your friends making fun of your dj music bring you down and stop you from getting where you want.
The good news is that you have the power to keep this vision alive inside of you. Just keep thinking about your dream! Watch Djing videos, talk to superstar DJs (disc jockeys) and learn about their lives… and never give up
Do whatever it takes! Buy Dj lessons or DJ training products, even if you don’t have the money. Travel to a city where there are lots of top level DJs to learn from. Just do whatever it takes and you too will one day soon be living your dream just like I am…

I wanted to know how to dj because I wanted to travel the world for free.
A few weeks ago I got my first international gig! I flew from Los Angeles to Cancun Mexico and got to DJ to a huge nightclub!
